GRL Germany at Street Lab Meets Berlin

As part of the Street Lab meets Berlin Fest, we’re showing blitzTag this weekend, plus doing an intro/behind the scenes talk. We’re also working with local artist Shine in Decay, who will be leading an LED throwie workshop & urban installation. Details below:

blitzTag

GRL Germany presents blitzTag, a brand new Laser Tag software, with a whole suite of new features. You are invited to as yet undisclosed location, to bomb urban space with massive light based graffiti. blitzTag is not meant to replace the grand tradition of physical graffiti, it is an alternative open source tool – for urban communication in the digital age.

Open Workspace: Open House, GRL talk, & LED throwie workshop with Shine in Decay

Sat, 12th March Noon – 6 pm
Venue: Open Design City – Prinzessinnenstra├če 19-20, 10969 Berlin

Noon – 18:00 Hands-on display of GRL Germany’s bombIR (digital graffiti wall)
13:00 – 13:45 GRL Germany will give a talk which will be an introduction to GRL background and philosophy, with a behind-the-scenes look at some of our open-source tools, such as blitzTag and bombIR.
14:00 – 17:00 LED-Throwie workshop by Shine in Decay. We are going to make a whole lot of LED’s which will be installed in public space (location TBA). A Throwie consists of a lithium battery, a 10mm diffused LED and a rare-earth magnet taped together.
18:00 Meet at Open Design City for LED throwie installation (final location TBA)
